The Connecticut Association of Healthcare Executives
An ACHE Chapter
The FACHE (Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives) is the premier credential that builds mastery around a core body of knowledge needed for effective healthcare management. It prepares you to adapt in uncertainty, anchors you for solid decision-making and helps you earn your place among the best of the best in healthcare leadership. Earning it demonstrates a lifelong commitment to the progression of healthcare management.
Please watch the video above to hear what inspired Fellows to earn their FACHE credential.
An important step in earning your FACHE credential is passing the Board of Governors (BOG) examination. Every year CTAHE holds an Exam Study Group that assists members in preparing for the exam.
This year, CTAHE is hosting an eight hour review format broken up between two days: Saturday September 7, 2019 and Saturday, September 14, 2019.
Eight (8) ACHE Face to Face credits will be awarded to attendees who sign up and complete the two sessions in partnership with ACHE’s new BOG Exam Prep Program: BOG Exam Prep: Brought to You by ACHE and Your Local Chapter.
This new program was developed by ACHE in collaboration with nationally recognized subject matter experts and provides a breadth of information across all 10 knowledge areas, plus sample questions; testing strategies; and a better understanding of the exam’s content, structure, and scoring.
The sections covered will be:
-Finance
-Governance and Organizational Structure
-Healthcare Technology and Information Management
-Human Resources
-Laws and Regulations
-Professionalism and Ethics
-Quality and Performance Management
-Healthcare Business Management and Leadership
Closer to the session dates you will receive the breakdown of which topic will be covered on which of the days.
IMPORTANT: You must be a member of CTAHE to register for the Study Group. If you are not currently a member, you must agree to register by September 7th!
ALSO: The class is limited to eight (8) attendees! Don’t wait to register!
The cost for the eight hour course and eight (8) Face to Face Credits is $200.00 per attendee. However, if you sit for the exam and pass it by November 30th, 2019, CTAHE will refund you the $200.00!
Testimonial from 2018 CTAHE BOG Study Group Participant Noelle A. Linke:
“The instructors were all amazing…some Fellows, some experts in their fields and I learned something new every week. I had the opportunity to learn about the structure of the BOG exam and get some study time in with those who have taken the exam already who could help me learn what to expect and how to strategize. By far the most rewarding experience of the study group was the relationships that were built with my fellow healthcare leaders. Coming together every week to share experiences, learn together and even participate in a little healthy competition was enriching and made it fun! If you have the opportunity, I would highly recommend participating in the CTAHE BOG study group. It’s worth every minute!”
