As the obesity epidemic grows, healthcare organizations must focus more on treatments and solutions for patients (and for employees). Join us for a program that will look at why obesity is a chronic disease, associated stigma & bias, and the need for comprehensive treatment.

Faculty Bio’s:
Corey O’Brien, Pharm.D., BCPS
Corey O’Brien is Novo Nordisk’s Medical Account Associate Director for the New England region.
Corey provides medical insights and health economic outcomes data across the Novo Nordisk medication portfolio to payers, employers, and health system decision makers. This includes information on guidelines, products, disease states, health equity, and the drug pipeline.
Corey received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and his bachelor’s degree from Providence College. Corey completed a managed-care PGY1 residency at Clinical Pharmacy Services in Shrewsbury, MA focusing on Medicaid formulary management. Following his residency, and prior to joining Novo Nordisk, Corey was employed at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts for almost 10 years serving as the Clinical Pharmacy Manager on the Medicare Operations team. Corey was responsible for all aspects of formulary and clinical program management for the Medicare lines of business.
Shreya Sabharwal, PharmD, MBE
Shreya Sabharwal is Novo Nordisk’s Senior Obesity Medical Liaison covering the northeast region.
Shreya received her Bachelor’s in Health Sciences and Doctor of Pharmacy from Philadelphia College of Pharmacy in 2012 and 2014 and Masters in Bioethics from Harvard Medical School in 2020. After graduation from pharmacy school, Shreya completed her Medical Affairs Fellowship from Novo Nordisk. Since then, Shreya has served as a Medical Liaison in the New England region in Growth Hormone Disorders, Diabetes and now Obesity therapeutic areas. As a Medical Liaison, her primary role is to collaborate and work with medical providers to deliver disease state education, clinical trial support, advocacy efforts as well as clinical education as related to obesity.
