Meet Our Speakers

Olusegun Ajayi
Director of Operations at Hartford Hospital

Olusegun came to Trinity College from New York City. Olusegun was a varsity athlete on the basketball team and received a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Engineering (Electrical). After graduation, Olusegun worked at The Hartford Financial Services Group as a Business Intelligence Consultant and Analyst for approximately 2 years. Olusegun then had an opportunity to work as a Victory Scholar for Sports Changes Life, an organization based in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Victory scholars work with young adults, teaching skills and mentoring by first making a connection though sport. While in Northern Ireland, Olusegun played on the National basketball team and pursed a Master’s degree in Sports and Exercise Psychology. Upon completion of postgraduate, Olusegun returned to the United States and pivoted into the healthcare realm. Olusegun started in as an Executive Administrative Fellowship role in Hartford Healthcare then transition into the role as the Director of Operations for Hartford Hospital, Hartford Healthcare.

 

Fred K. Boateng, MHA
Administrator, Ancillary and Support Services
Lawrence + Memorial Hospital
Westerly Hospital

Fred Boateng is the Administrator, Ancillary and Support Services of Lawrence and Memorial Healthcare, L+M Healthcare, an affiliate of Yale New Haven Health, includes Lawrence and Memorial Hospital in New London, Connecticut, Westerly Hospital in Westerly, Rhode Island and the VNA of South Eastern Connecticut.  He currently has oversight for the Neuroscience Service line, Rehabilitation Services, Wound Care Service -Line, Supply Chain, Telephone Operations, Patient Transport Services, and Environmental Services Department at L+M Healthcare.  Fred is a member of the Yale New Haven Health System’s Environmental Sustainability Council, The Diversity, inclusion, and equity council at L+M Delivery network.  Prior to his current role as Administrative Director, Ancillary and Support Services at YNHHS, Fred held a manager position at Hartford HealthCare.

Fred has served on the Board of the National Association of Health Services Executives – Connecticut as the board chair and a chapter past president. He is a Board member of the Connecticut Association of Healthcare Executives (CTAHE) and serves as the CTAHE Education Network Chair. In 2019, Fred was the recipient of the ACHE Regent’s Award for Early Careerist of the year.

Fred holds a Bachelor Degree in Public Health from Southern Connecticut State University and Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from University of New Haven.
