In this recent autumn season, our Chapter had the privilege of participating as a presenter at the annual ACHE Chapter Leaders Conference. We had the opportunity to highlight our endeavors in building and maintaining robust sponsorships. I’d like to extend special appreciation to Rob Weiss and Stephen Liebowitz, who jointly presented with the Florida Chapter on the subject of nurturing relationships and sponsorship prospects. This presentation was warmly received and garnered nearly perfect ratings for content satisfaction.

Our commitment to enhancing our Student program persists with the addition of two student board members: Larissa Chia Yi Xuan from Yale University and Kashyap Ramadyani from the University of New Haven. We are also proud of our national recognition for our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives, having received the Region 1 Regent-at-Large Award for Achievements in Diversity.
Our dedicated committee chairs continue their valuable work. The Membership Committee is actively recruiting new members, while the Mentorship Program enjoyed a successful session at Stony Creek Brewery in September. Our communication teams have been instrumental in maintaining a popular presence on social media. The Women’s Forum maintains its regular meetings with a dedicated and active following. Our Finance Committee is already in the process of crafting our 2024 budget.
The Programming and Golf Committee has scheduled the date for our Annual Golf Tournament – save the date for a round of golf and fun on May 21st, 2024. We are also planning our CTAHE Annual Meeting at the Aquaturf, ahead of the CHA Annual Meeting, featuring an inspiring speaker on the significance of the human factor in our workforces. Due to popular demand, the Membership Committee will reintroduce our Fellowship study sessions, possibly concluding with the fan-favorite Board of Governors Jeopardy contest to challenge our future Fellows. It promises to be an exciting year.
Year to date, we have recognized six new fellows to the chapter:
• Jaclyn V. O’Connor, FACHE
• John Sponauer, FACHE
• Albert N. Lamptey, FACHE
• Jillian K. Menzel, MBA, FACHE
• Sharon Adams, FACHE
• Jennifer Farley, FACHE
Please congratulate them if you know or see them on this momentous accomplishment.
