Happy New Year, everyone! As we bid farewell to 2023, we earnestly hope to see 2020 and the challenges brought by the Covid-19 pandemic fade further into our rearview mirrors. It’s been three years, and as we embark on the New Year, your committee chairs are diligently planning engaging and informative activities for the Connecticut Chapter.
Mark your calendars for the upcoming annual favorite event on January 30th, the “State of the State of CT Healthcare.” Once again, we are privileged to have the well-informed team from CHA, Karen Buckley, and Jim Iacobellis, joining us. They will provide valuable insights into the changes and developments impacting healthcare in Hartford. The meeting is scheduled at the Delamar in West Hartford. Given the popularity of this event, we recommend prompt registration as spots tend to fill up quickly.
Join us for an insightful panel discussion with our partners from the Connecticut Hospital Association, offering a deep dive into understanding 2023 and looking ahead to 2024! CLICK HERE to register.
The planning committee is in the final stages of wrapping up our strategic plan for the year, with the budget for the next year firmly set and numerous initiatives already in progress. Similar to last year, our committees will maintain a sharp focus on delivering engaging content, hosting regular sessions, social gatherings, and offering opportunities for Face-to-Face credits at select events. These in-person sessions are carefully crafted to provide a cost-effective way for our local CTAHE members to obtain necessary credits without the burden of extensive travel. Keep an eye out for upcoming announcements about these sessions.
This year also marks the twentieth anniversary for the Connecticut chapter, and we have planned numerous events to celebrate two decades of promoting healthcare leadership within our state.
Additionally, we have unveiled our updated logo:
We are dedicated to advancing our Student Program, and we’re delighted to announce the inclusion of two new student board members: Larissa Chia Yi Xuan from Yale University and Kashyap Ramadyani from the University of New Haven. A warm welcome and gratitude go to our Academic sponsors University of New Haven and Quinnipiac for their ongoing commitment and active presence on our Board.
Be sure to mark your calendars for ACHE Congress in Chicago from March 24th to the 28th – an event not to be missed!
The Programming and Golf Committee has finalized the date for our Annual Golf Tournament – it’s set for May 21st, 2024. Given the popularity of this event, early registration is strongly recommended to secure your spot. We anticipate a fantastic day on the course, followed by an enjoyable dinner.
