Kimberly A. Lumia, MSN, MBA, RN, FACHE, Elected to American College of Healthcare Executives Council of Regents
GLASTONBURY, CT, December 15, 2021—Kimberly A. Lumia, MSN, MBA, RN, FACHE, Chief Operating Officer & Senior Vice President of Prospect Medical East Coast, has been appointed to the Council of Regents, the legislative body of the American College of Healthcare Executives. The Council of Regents serves as the vital link between ACHE and members by approving governance and membership regulations as well as promoting ACHE programs, services and activities within their respective areas.
Ms. Lumia will take office March 26, 2022, prior to ACHE’s Congress on Healthcare Leadership. As a Regent, Ms. Lumia will represent ACHE’s membership in Connecticut.
Ms. Lumia is the Chief Operating Officer & Senior Vice President for Prospect Medical East Coast, which consists of 10 hospitals in four states CT Waterbury Health & Eastern CT Health Network, NJ East Orange General Hospital, PA Crozer Health and RI CharterCare. She is an experienced healthcare leader with over 20 years of experience. Ms. Lumia started her career as a Registered Nurse in the Critical Care area (Cardiothoracic Intensive Care, Surgical Intensive Care & Trauma). She has held several leadership roles including RN & Team Leader at John C. Lincoln North Mountain Hospital, Manager, Director and Service Line Leader at the Hospital of Saint Raphael, New Haven, CT, and Chief Nursing Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Executive Officer at Sharon Hospital, Sharon, CT. Ms. Lumia is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and is the Immediate Past President and current Chair of Governance for the Connecticut Association of Healthcare Executives.
